2019年春节期间，北京市道可特律师事务所主任刘光超律师与国际业务部主任、高级合伙人张婷律师赴英国伦敦进行交流参访。道可特律所刘光超主任与张婷律师先后拜访了英国大律师公会、英国青年律师公会、伦敦国际仲裁院、伦敦海事仲裁员协会、剑桥圣约翰学院以及英国多家国际知名律师事务所。此外，道可特律所刘光超主任与张婷律师还受邀参加了“中国年”交流晚宴及系列主题交流酒会，并代表道可特律师事务所与多家国际律师事务所建立了合作伙伴关系。我们将推出“道可特英伦行”系列专题，记录参访旅程，开启2019年道可特国际化之路。

During the Spring Festival of 2019, Mr. Liu Guangchao, the Chief Director of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm, and Lawyer Zhang Ting, the Director of the International Business Department and the Senior Partner of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm traveled to London for exchange and visit. The Chief Director, Mr. Liu Guangchao and Lawyer Zhang Ting visited the Bar Council, the British young lawyers association, the London Court of International Arbitration, London Maritime Arbitrators Association, the St. John's College, Cambridge and many international well-known law firms in the UK. In addition, Mr. Liu Guangchao and Lawyer Zhang Ting were invited to attend the "Chinese Year” themed dinner and a series of wine parties, and they also established cooperative partnerships with many international law firms on behalf of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm. We will publish a series of articles of “DOCVIT’s Visits in the UK" to record DOCVIT’s each steps and start to pile up DOCVIT’s internationalization road for the year of 2019.

2019年2月8日，北京市道可特律师事务所主任刘光超律师和国际业务部主任、高级合伙人张婷律师在英国伦敦与高伟绅律师事务所高级合伙人及争议解决部主任Audley Sheppard QC先生共同会晤，Audley Sheppard QC先生同时兼任伦敦国际仲裁院主席与剑桥大学lauterpacht国际法中心董事会成员。交流中Audley Sheppard QC先生表达了期待与道可特进一步合作研究一带一路争议解决相关法律问题的愿望。

On February 8, 2019, Mr. Liu Guangchao, the Chief Director of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm, and Lawyer Zhang Ting, also the Director of International Business Department and the Senior Partner of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm, met with Sir Audley Sheppard QC, the Senior Partner and the Head of Dispute Resolution Department of Clifford Chance LLP, who also serves as the Chairman of the London Court of International Arbitration and the board member of the Cambridge’s Lauterpacht Centre for International Law in London, UK. During the meeting, Sir Audley Sheppard QC expressed his expectation and desire to further cooperate with DOCVIT in the study and research on legal issues related to the dispute resolution for business promoted by the “One Belt and One Road”.

此外，双方就中英两国及国际法律市场现状、律师事务所管理、业务开展、客户服务与市场开拓等方面展开了深入交流，并达成初步合作意向。

In addition, the two sides have conducted in-depth communication on many areas such as the current situation of China and the UK, the international legal markets, management of law firms, business development, customer service and market development, and the two sides reached a preliminary intention of cooperation.

高伟绅律师事务所 (Clifford Chance LLP)

1987年间，伦敦两家成功的律师事务所Coward Chance LLP与 Clifford Turner LLP合并成为了现今的高伟绅律师事务所。高伟绅律师事务所是英国最顶级的律师事务所，同时也是全球前十大律师事务所。高伟绅律师事务所为伦敦五大律师事务所之一，与年利达律师事务所、安理国际律师事务所、富而德律师事务所、司力达律师事务所等并称伦敦法律界的“魔术圈”。2018年，高伟绅律师事务所的总收入近17亿英镑。高伟绅律师事务所是最早进入中国内地法律市场的国际律所之一，其在北京和上海的办公室分别成立于1985年和1993年。目前，该所的主要业务为银行与金融、资本市场、公司业务与企业并购、诉讼与争端解决、房地产、税务与劳动。

Today's Clifford Chance came into being when successful London firms Coward Chance and Clifford Turner merged in 1987. Clifford Chance LLP is the top law firm in the UK, and it is one of the top ten largest law firms in the world. It together with Linklaters LLP, Allen & Overy LLP, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Slaughter and May LLP are recognized as top five law firms in London which are collectively referred to as the Magic Circle in London legal profession. In 2018, Clifford Chance LLP had total revenues of around £1.7 billion. Also, it was one of the first international law firms to enter the legal market in mainland China. Its offices in Beijing and Shanghai were established in 1985 and 1993, respectively. At present, the main businesses of Clifford Chance LLP cover banking and finance, capital markets, corporate governance, M & A, litigation and dispute resolution, real estate, taxation and labor issues.

伦敦国际仲裁院 (London Court of International Arbitration)

伦敦国际仲裁院，正式成立于1892年11月23日，原名为伦敦仲裁会，1903年4月2日改名为伦敦仲裁院，1981年起用现名。原先伦敦仲裁院由一个联合委员会管理，联合委员会是由伦敦市和伦敦商会各派12名代表组成。1975年伦敦仲裁院与女王特许仲裁员会合并，故现在的伦敦国际仲裁院由伦敦政府、伦敦商会和女王特许仲裁协会三家共同组成的联合管理委员会管理。仲裁院的日常工作由女王特许仲裁员协会负责，仲裁员协会的会长兼任伦敦国际仲裁院的执行主席。伦敦国际仲裁院是目前英国乃至世界最主要的国际商业仲裁机构，它主要是为解决国际商事争议提供服务，全球超过一半的金融、矿业和建筑工程争议都在此仲裁。由于英国长期以来形成的完善的司法体制和公允的裁决，越来越多的一带一路上的争议也都选择伦敦国际仲裁院作为争议解决地。

The London Court of International Arbitration was formally inaugurated on November 23, 1892, and at that time, it used its former name as “the City of London Chamber of Arbitration”. Then, in April 1903, the tribunal was re-named the "London Court of Arbitration", and in 1981, the name was further changed to the current one, i.e. “the London Court of International Arbitration" (LCIA). The previous London Court of Arbitration was run by a joint committee composed of 12 representatives from the City Corporation and another 12 representatives from the London Chamber. In 1975, the London Court of Arbitration merged with the Charted Institute of Arbitrators, thus, the current LCIA is managed jointly by the London government, the London Chamber and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. The day-to-day work of the LCIA is the responsibility of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the President of which is also the Executive Chairman of the LCIA. The LCIA is one of the UK’s as well as the world’s important international commercial arbitration institutions mainly providing services for the dispute settlement of international commercial issues, and in which more than half of the world's financial, mining and construction disputes are arbitrated. Considering the perfect judicial system and fair rulings in the UK, more and more choices are made to bring up disputes occurred in the areas along the “One Belt and One Road” before the LCIA for dispute settlement.
